Fiddleheads, anyone?

Fiddleheads, a predominantly  Maine delicacy,  from ostrich fern, are gathered in Spring, and now is the time to try them.  Usually steamed or boiled, I came across an interesting recipe in the local newspaper –

  A ‘Maine Martini’  Here is the recipe –

1 1/2 oz Maine made  cold River Vodka  

3/4oz Bartlett Winery Pear French Oak dry

1 0r 2 picked Spruce Bush Farm picked fiddleheads, chilled

Chill martini glass, gently combine vodka and wine.

Add fiddleheads, and enjoy!
